The Why and How of Taking Advantage of 3D Design Technology - A Few Examples:




Rendered exterior drawings show sun angles, roof lines and the relation of shade to window openings and decks.




 


Interior views show furniture layout and traffic patterns.  Layout below shows  tight fit between railing and table and lack of easy access to back door.
Curved header over doorway is attractive but adjacent flat door header is ugly in comparison.  This fault would not show up in a standard plan 2D view.




Close up 3D perspective views give trim details for planning, estimating and are very helpful for communication with the trades.                                                                



Scale drawings ensure that cabinet detailing is correct.
Scaled drawings of exteriors allow for careful planning of roof lines, windows and trim details that create the overall style of the house.
